Gradie, instrumento agrícola compuesto por cuatro travesales de más de un metro de largos que van paralelos entre sí, unidos por otros dos travesales del mismo grosor, formando un rectángulo, en todos estos travesales de unos diez centímetros de grosor por otros tantos de ancho, hechos todos de madera de roble o encina, van injertados unos pernos o pinchos de hierro que tienen la misión de majar los terrones después de haber sido las tierras aradas. Sólo se gradian las tierras que se siembran de maíz o habas, y aún después de haber sido gradiadas si la gradie no majo bien todos los terrones, es menester de majar los que quedan con un majón de madera industriado para este menester, pues tanto el maíz como las habas nacen muy mal sino están las tierras bien gradiadas o majadas de todos sus terrones. La gradie va arrastrada por la yunta de la vacas o por una caballería fuerte, cuando los terrones son muy recios se coloca encima de la gradie un contrapeso de piedras.
